Privacy Policy

When you use our services, you’re trusting us with your information. We understand this is a big responsibility and work hard to protect your information and put you in control.

This Privacy Policy is meant to help you understand what information we collect, why we collect it, and how you can update, manage, export, and delete your information.

Your privacy is very important to us. Accordingly, we have developed this policy in order for you to understand how we collect, use, communicate and make use of personal information. The following outlines our privacy policy.

Mayordoma and its affiliates and associates (“We,” “Our,” or “Us”) recognise the importance of protecting the privacy and the rights of individuals in relation to their personal information. We respect your rights to privacy.

We recognise the importance of keeping the information provided by our customers secure and confidential and complying with our obligations under the said privacy laws.

By accepting and consenting to this Privacy Terms and Conditions, you expressly consent to our use and disclosure of your personal information and direct us to do so in the manner described in this Privacy Terms and Conditions.

How Do We Use the Information That You Provide to Us? On Custom Audiences

You have accepted these terms of service.

Social Media’s Custom Audience feature enables us to create an audience using your data such as email addresses and phone numbers. When using, in this case for this time, Facebook’s Custom Audience feature, your data is locally hashed on our system before we upload and pass such data to Facebook to be used to create our Custom Audience (the “Hashed Data”).

Without limiting any agreement between you, us and Facebook, by visiting our sites you are accepting and passing to us and then to Facebook the Hashed Data, you agree to the following:

(a) protect the security and integrity of data while it is within Facebook’s systems and

(b) guard against the accidental or unauthorised access, use, alteration or disclosure of data within Facebook’s systems. Further, Facebook will not give access to or information about our Custom Audience to third parties or other advertisers, use our Custom Audience to append to the information we have about Facebook users or build interest-based profiles, or use our Custom Audience except to provide services to you, unless we have your permission or are required to do so by law.

4. Facebook may modify, suspend or terminate access to, or discontinue the availability of, the Custom Audiences feature at any time. We may discontinue our use of the Custom Audience feature at any time. We may delete our Custom Audience from the Facebook system at any time through our account tools.

5. If and when we are providing Hashed Data on behalf of a third party, we also represent and warrant that we have the authority as agent to such party to use such data on their behalf and bind such party to these terms.

6. We may not use the Custom Audience feature unless we are an or the advertiser (or an agency acting on behalf of an advertiser), Ads API or Custom Audiences API partner, a data partner that has signed an agreement with us which grants us permission to upload and create a Custom Audience, or have obtained express, written permission from Facebook. If we are providing Hashed Data on behalf of a third party, we may only use that third party’s own data to create Custom Audiences on its behalf and may not augment or supplement that data with other data. We may not sell or transfer Custom Audiences, or authorise any third party to sell or transfer Custom Audiences.

7. A note to EU and Swiss data controllers: Facebook, Inc. has made commitments under the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield and Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield that may apply to data transferred under these Custom Audience Terms. When applicable as the means to transfer personal data regarding EU or Swiss data subjects to Facebook, Inc., you and Mayordoma acknowledge that the Privacy Shield Terms (https://www.facebook.com/legal/privacyshieldtermsforadvertisers) apply to such data in addition to these Custom Audience Terms.

These Custom Audiences Terms and, to the extent applicable, the Privacy Shield Terms, govern the provision by you of Hashed Data to us and to Facebook and our use of the Custom Audiences feature. They do not replace any terms applicable to your purchase of advertising inventory from Facebook (including but not limited to the Facebook Advertising Guidelines at https://www.facebook.com/ad_guidelines.php), and such terms will continue to apply to our ad campaigns targeted to our Custom Audience. The Custom Audiences feature is part of “Facebook” under Facebook’s Statement of Rights and Responsibilities (https://www.facebook.com/legal/terms, the “SRR”), and our use of the Custom Audiences feature (including your use of data) is deemed part of our use of, and actions on, “Facebook”. In the event of any express conflict between these Custom Audiences Terms and the SRR, these Custom Audiences Terms will govern solely with respect to our use of the Custom Audiences feature and solely to the extent of the conflict. Facebook reserves the right to monitor or audit our compliance with these terms and to update these terms from time to time.
