To help maintain the integrity of our Social Media or Facebook advertising, we reviewed and accept the non-discrimination policy.

Facebook’s Advertising Policies prohibit advertisers from using our ads products to discriminate against individuals or groups of people. Ads are discriminatory when they deny opportunities to individuals or groups of people based on certain personal attributes such as race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, age, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, family/marital status, disability or medical or genetic condition.

Our non-discrimination policy hasn’t changed, but we’ve added examples about what it means for advertisers. While discrimination is prohibited, you may target ads to a specific audience based on known interests that align with the product or service you’re advertising.

While some of these examples are specific to U.S. advertisers, Facebook’s non-discrimination policy is a global policy. Since non-discrimination laws vary by region, be sure to comply with our policy and relevant laws in your location and the location you’re targeting.

Acceptable Ad Targeting

Targeting an ad for a job at a clothing store to all individuals of eligible working age, regardless of gender. We practice equality and non-discrimination.

Ad Discrimination

Targeting an ad for a job at a clothing store in a way to exclude women and discourage them from applying. We recognise this and we’re not into this.

We Accept, we certify that we:

  • Have reviewed and will abide by our Advertising Policies and all applicable laws
  • Will not use Facebook Advertising for any wrongfully discriminatory practices
  • Will inform anyone placing ads under this account about this non-discrimination policy

For housing, employment or credit opportunities, we accept and certify that we follow Facebook’s Advertising Policies to non-discrimination based on personal characteristics such as race, ethnicity, colour, national origin, religion, sex, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, family status, disability or medical/genetic condition. By closely following such, it does not also violate federal, state, provincial, local or other applicable laws in our area or the area in which the job ads will be shown.

We agree that we have reviewed Facebook’s policy and will abide by those policies. We also agree that we will not use Facebook advertising to improperly discriminate and we comply with all applicable laws.
